Meet the Artist

Chad Pilkington is an award-winning power carver and wood sculptor based in Oak Harbor. He is known for transforming each piece based on the natural character of the wood he selects. What began as retirement gifts for his fellow active-duty servicemen has evolved into a body of work featuring stunning creations inspired by the Pacific Northwest, wildlife, musical instruments, pop culture, ancient cultures, and mythology.

Chad has a deep understanding of how to use the unique characteristics of wood to enhance his work, resulting in truly one-of-a-kind pieces of art.

In 2024, he received both Best of Show and the People’s Choice Award at the Pacific Northwest Art School’s All Island Juried Art Show for his amazing octopus sculpture. Additionally, he earned 2nd place at the 2025 Kenmore Art Show and received the 2025 Kent Summer Art Exhibit City Purchase Award.
